In this painting I could combine the free expression of flowers with the control of a geometric dog.
This is obviously not a traditional painting and in connection with that I would like to quote the French painter J.F. Millet who talked about the difference between the artist who paints from life and the artist who can paint the same scene from memory:
‘…the latter may succeed better in giving the character, the physiognomy of the place, though all the details may be inexact.’
