Painting of the Month

Friday, October 1st, 2010
The figure is part a recurring theme through several decades of my painting.
It reflects humanity’s preoccupation with technology and the still hidden realities of the unknown universe. The figures are representing amorphous figures which seem to be humanoids/androids/robots where the geometrical shapes create the tensions.
I feel I am updating the work of the painters of earlier centuries by using symbolism to ritualise/dignify our present reality in order to reflect our own age in a magical way which I think is essential for every generation.
This figure is a multipurpose image,  with orbs and the disk waiting to be released into a perpetual cosmic cycle.
